Design

Once the project has been clearly defined, the Creative Process begins. Concept Development and Integration must be considered in relationship to one another to ensure a consistent brand experience. Formation of an Asset Library and Application Design also take place during this stage.

Concept Development: Design and copy: Once the design brief is agreed upon with the client, the team is finalised to provide the skills needed. Initial concepts are presented and agreed upon, after which full designs are developed. The client may provide copy or a copywriter may be used, depending on requirements.

Integration: Making sure your brand is consistent: Ensuring that your customers have the same brand experience both on and offline is imperative; therefore any existing design materials must be carefully considered to see that they mesh with the new design. These may be provided by clients or by other agencies they work with.

Asset Library: A listing of all assets required is made, which can include copy, pictures, video, etc. All of this might not be newly generated; some may already exist, or be provided by the client.

Application Design: Channels and platforms:Media type and platforms are agreed. In the case of Web and mobile, decisions such as the use of flash and video are agreed upon. If the site is to be e-commerce or includes forums, suitable software is agreed, as are the types of information you wish to collect in order to analyse sales and site usage. Technical specifications are then signed off on prior to build. For offline projects, print, packaging and other requirements are agreed.
